To celebrate its first hundred years, MENC created a collection of photographs, stories, and a chronology of music education in the twentieth century and beyond.
The hardcover book MENC: A Century of Service to Music Education, 1907–2007 offers readers a retrospective of the activities of people who helped music teaching evolve into a profession. Included are many facsimiles, photos, and quotes from leaders who have inspired thousands of students and given support to hundreds of teachers in training.
Read a review of the book by Diane Higgins, an independent piano teacher from Charlotte, North Carolina, on The Free Library.
