Item Text
The best advice I ever received that led to success in my professional life as well as personal dealings came from a music teacher. Her motto? “Praise publicly, but criticize privately.” She never embarrassed her students, but encouraged them at all times.
Whether dealing with children, colleagues at work, or just folks in the ordinary course of things, I’ve learned that harmony and progress come from supporting people, not undermining them. It’s a lesson learned in a music classroom, and one never forgotten.
