Title: Should be succinct but descriptive enough to be easily searchable.
Category: Select the category that best describes your entry—statistic, research report, anecdote, quote, or document. Keep in mind that the entries should be narrowly focused so database users can quickly and easily find the facts and figures they need. If you feel strongly that your entry fits two categories, enter it twice, once for each category.
Issue: Check all of the issues that accurately describe your entry.
Attribution: Use any bibliographic style you wish, just ensure that you provide enough information for users to easily find the source. Attributions should include the person or organization from which the entry came.
Text: Make your entry only as long as it needs to be to convey a single fact or idea. One to three short paragraphs is ideal. Keep it concise. Break up your data as needed so that entries are in digestible chunks. Remove unnecessary formatting from your text by copying it into Notepad, TextEdit, or another text-only program before you paste it into the text box.
Link: Don't make your links too specific (long URLs). Link instead to an organization's home page or another page that isn't likely to change.
Submitter Information: Your name and e-mail address will be used by MENC staff should questions arise about your entry. (Your e-mail will not be made public.)
Downloads: You can upload one file per entry of the following file types: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, pdf.
