Creating tests for theory students
I am looking to create tests for theory students however I am having trouble getting notation examples into the document for creating the test. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there one particular software that works best for this?

Re: Creating tests for theory students
I use Finale NotePad (fairly inexpensive), but my method is roundabout. I notate what I want, and then hit the "print screen" button on my keyboard. All computer keyboards have it... it may be abbreviated prntscrn. This takes a snapshot of the screen, exactly how it is at that moment. So make sure your cursor is somewhere out of the way! Then I "paste" into Word. A snapshot of the screen appears, and then I crop it down to the notes I want to display.
This would also work with Noteflight, a free notation website. Pretty much any program, as all you have to do is make the notes appear onto the screen in order to take a snapshot of them.
There has GOT to be a better way, though! If you discover anything, please share!

I use Sibelius, and there's a way you can select a section, copy it, and transfer it to a word document.
