The Mount Kenya Academy, an idyllic boarding school for 1st-12th grade students in central Kenya, is seeking a teacher to run their strings program (www.mountkenyaacademy.com).  This 1-year position begins Summer 2010.  A monthly salary, housing, and airfare to/from Kenya are provided.  Duties include teaching all violin/viola/cello lessons, conducting two student orchestras, and preparing students for national music exams.  The candidate should be a string player with (A) a music education degree or (B) a performance degree with school teaching experience.  If interested, please send a cover letter and resume to Graciela Briceno (grasesblumen@gmail.com).  General inquiries are also welcome.
