Luther College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor.  Doctorate required by September 1, 2010; music education doctorate preferred.  Successful candidate will demonstrate a record of successful teaching in public schools, including K-12 general music; excellent musicianship; scholarly research; excellent writing skills; and competency/certification in Kodaly, Orff, and/or Dalcroze pedagogies.  College level teaching and experience preparing/observing student teachers and pre-service teachers preferred.   Responsibilities include a six course teaching load in music education, advising students and collaborating between the Departments of Education and Music.
